The purple flower.  The woodland skippper.  Combined they are a splash of color.  Once you go looking for creatures in nature, you notice more.  When you plant flowers/vegetables, you get more.  Take time to observe them.  Your backyard can be an oasis. Birdbaths bring all sorts of creatures, good and bad.   Take a look at the photo that was written about here.  This is an affiliate link.   https://fineartamerica.com/featured/woodland-skipper-butterfly-alison-hasselquist.html

The Titmouse The name for this bird intrigues me a bit. But I got him or her to look right at me.  And ever since then birds pose for me.  Loving the grayish blue on this bird.                       Photo not to be used without                       permission.

A Snowy Robin

A Snowy Robin A snowy Robin once came my way It seemed to be early, though it was not A symbol of spring, where we once lived Now around all the year long Snow flakes on it's feathers As it shivers in the cold Still in appearance, big, beautiful, and bold Spring will come again my friend  Photo and words by Naturally Nature Photography Not to be used without permission Find on facebook @2020

Who doesn't love stories like the Prince and the frog?  The frog, as a lowly creature, turns into a handsome prince after loves first kiss breaks the spell that was put upon him.  Well, I am doubtful that this frog would become a handsome prince if I kissed it, but I still feel it's a pretty handsome creature!  It was sleeping when I found it. The Baby Dove

Image
This baby dove was found in our flower planter. The other egg never hatched.   I can't remember if the mother was around or not. It startled me when I came upon the baby bird.  Another baby dove landed on the ground from a tree.  I tried to help it, but unfortunately did not survive.  They look so much different from adult doves, don't they?
