Beautiful Cardinals

Beautiful Cardinals

Many different types of birds are gracing my yard these days.  I saw several at my window today.   Here are some pictures of my cardinals.

I took this one today, 1/6/21
Females aren't as red as male cardinals, but they are still just as beautiful.
Take a picture of one and study them individually.  You will be surprised how unique each individual one is.

This was taken in Jan, '21
Males are lovely to photograph of course because of their red color.  Did you know that what they eat
actually effects their color?  The redder the better, too.

Peek a boo, I see you. This bright red stands out with snow in the background.
The white snow just makes that red pop out.

This female is caught with birdseed in her mouth.  I grew bird seed in 2020.  I think I will always have homegrown bird seed.  I have it around the smoke tree that this bird is on.  It is controlled, but I love my bird seed garden.  I cut the tops off and lay them on my windowsill as well.  I wake up to bright red cardinals on my sill most mornings.  Amazing.
